"Two Wrongs Don't Make a Right"

Films: Kujira Gami (1962)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Ocean

Height/Weight: 24 meters and 170 metric tons.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: It's Moby Dick, but in Japan! And that can only mean a distinct lack of Sperm Whales in exchange for a more native species. That, and leeway for different plot points.

History: Kujira Gami was a finnicky Right Whale known for destroying ships and disrupting the fishing industry like it was nobody's problem. Except it was, so much so that two different fishers went looking for its blood. One was in it to avenge dead family members, the other was in it for the glory of it.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The final confrontation is long and bloody, but eventually it is the vengeful one who delivers the final blow to Kujira, stabbing him to holy Hell and back before the whale succumbs to his injuries.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-We may not be able to deny the force this thing can unleash upon your ship, but a baleen whale just doesn't command as much fear and danger as a toothed one would. There's a reason Melville made Moby Dick a sperm whale. Oh, and that whale lived.

Trivia: -Kujura Gami quite literally means "Whale God".

-This was the first monster created by Daei Studios, the guys responsible for creating Gamera later on.
